The first step in AI Act compliance is building your AI systems inventory. Every AI system your organisation provides, deploys, imports, or distributes must be registered.
Go to AI Act → AI Systems
Click Add System to register a new AI system.
Fill in system details

| Role Type | Required | Provider (you built it), Deployer (you use it), Importer, or Distributor |
| Purpose | Optional | What the system is intended to do |
| Intended Use Cases | Optional | Specific use cases the system is deployed for |
| Deployment Environment | Optional | Cloud, on-premise, edge, hybrid |
| Department | Optional | Which department owns/uses this system |
After registering, use the Risk Classification Wizard to determine the system's risk level. This decides which compliance obligations apply.
