Article 62 requires providers and deployers of high-risk AI systems to report serious incidents to the relevant market surveillance authority.
What is a serious incident?
An incident that directly or indirectly leads to, or is likely to lead to:
- Death or serious damage to health
- Serious property damage or environmental damage
- Serious disruption of critical infrastructure
- Breach of fundamental rights
Reporting an AI Act incident
Go to AI Act → Incident Reporting → Report Incident. Fill in the details and check the "This is a serious incident" box if applicable.
When you mark an incident as serious, Venvera automatically sets a 72-hour notification deadline from the detection time. This countdown is visible on the incident detail page.
Cross-module linking
If an AI incident is also an ICT incident (e.g., a security breach that affected an AI system), use the "Link to ICT Incident" dropdown to connect them. The linked incident appears on both detail pages.
