The xBRL-CSV export generates the regulatory submission files required under DORA's Implementing Technical Standards (ITS). The export produces 15 ESA template tables in CSV format, packaged into a ZIP archive for submission to your national competent authority.

Export Process

Step 1: Navigate to the export page

From the DORA dashboard, click the "xBRL-CSV Export" button, or navigate to Register of Information and select the export option.

Step 2: Run pre-export validation

Before generating files, the system runs a comprehensive validation across all your register data. This checks for missing required fields, inconsistent references, and data quality issues. Validation results show error and warning counts with detailed issue descriptions (see the Register of Information article for validation details).

Step 3: Review validation results

If there are errors, resolve them before proceeding for a clean export. Warnings are advisory and will not prevent export, but may cause issues with the regulator's validation tools.

Step 4: Click Generate

Click the "Generate Export" button. A loading state will display while the system compiles all 15 template tables into CSV files.

Step 5: Download your files

Once generation completes, the result section shows the generated date and time, plus download options:

  • ZIP download — a single archive containing all 15 CSV files
  • Individual CSV downloads — download any single template file separately

ℹ️
You can click the "Re-generate" button at any time to produce a fresh export incorporating any changes made since the last generation.

⚠️
Ensure all provider LEIs are valid 20-character codes before export. Invalid LEIs will cause the regulator's xBRL validation tool to reject the submission. Use the LEI Lookup feature to verify codes against the GLEIF database.
💡
Generate the export periodically (e.g., monthly) even outside submission windows. This helps you track data quality over time and ensures you are always ready for an ad-hoc regulatory request.
