CE Requirements

The Requirements page displays the official Cyber Essentials v3.1 technical control requirements. This is a read-only reference view — use it to understand exactly what the scheme requires.

How requirements are organised

Requirements are grouped by the 5 CE themes. Each requirement has:

• Reference — e.g., CE-FW-01 (Firewalls requirement 1)
• Title — Short description of the requirement
• Description — Detailed explanation of what's expected
• CE Plus badge — Requirements that have additional verification under CE Plus

Using requirements

Review each requirement and then implement corresponding controls on the Controls page. The gap assessment questionnaire is also aligned to these requirements, so understanding them helps you score higher.
